View over the Cape Peninsula from Table Mountain to Cape Point

I have been on Table Mountain several times. But this time it was a special day. Although during the end of the south african winter period we had a very warm day, the wind wasn’t blowing at all and we had this magnificant panoramic view to the Cape Point.

Ich war schön mehrmals auf dem Tafelberg. Dieses mal war es aber ein ganz besonderer Tag. Obwohl noch im südafrikanischen Winter hatten wir einen warmen Tag erwischt. Der Wind war still und wir durften diesen wunderbaren Panorama Blick bis zum Cape Point erleben.

Penguins at the Boulders Beach

Penguins in South Africa? Yes of course. May you don’t know that these are real african penguins. The penguin cologny at the Boulders Beach near Cape Town in Simons Town is a very famous tourist attraction. A must have seen sightseeing spot on the way to the Cape Point Nature Reserve.

Pinguine in Südafrika? Ja natürlich! Vielleicht wissen Sie nicht, dass es auch afrikanische Pinguine gibt. Die Pinguinkolonie am Boulders Strand in Simons Town bei Kapstadt ist auf jedenfall eine sehr bekannte Touristen Attraktion. Ein “Sightseeing Spot” am Weg zum Cape Point Naturreservat.

The former cape malay district in Cape Town - Boo Kap

This snaphot was taken in the former Cape Malay District of Cape Town named Boo Kap. This famous place because of its multicoloured houses stands for the colourful and full of live habit of all South Africans especially the Capetonians.

Dieser Schnappschuss zeigt das ehemalige Malaienviertel in Kapstadt, auch Boo Kap genannt. Dieser sehr bekannte Ort hauptsächlich wegen seiner bunt angemalten Häuser steht für eine farbenfrohe und lebensfrohe Art der Südafrikaner insbesondere der “Capetonians”.

Twelve Apostels and Camps Bay

In front of Nelson Mandelas former prison Robben Island

This picture shows the bricks outside of the prison on the Robben Island. The complete island was a prison where Nelson Mandela had to stay for 17 years of his life.
The contrast between the bricks and the beautiful Agarve in front means a lot for me. It shows how the prisoner had to be strong and emphatic about lifes beauty at the same time.

Das Bild zeigt die Gefägnismauern von Robben Island. Die komplette Insel war mal ein Gefängis, in dem Nelson Mandela 17 Jahre seines Lebens verbringen musste.
Der Kontrast zwischen den Ziegelsteinen und der Agarve im Vordergrund erwirkt ein schönes Spannungsfeld. Es zeigt wie die Inhaftierten überleben konnten. Stark und hart zu sich selbst und niemals die Schönheit der Welt vergessen.

Cape Town City Bowl

View from Table Mountain to the Cape Town City Centre, which shows a view skyscraper and the V&A Waterfront. It is only a very small cutout of the whole area of Cape Town comparing to the square kilometres of Cape Town with all its suburbs.

Blick auf das Zentrum von Kapstadt vom Tafelberg aus. Man erkennt ein paar Hochhäuser und die V&A Waterfront.
Allerdings ist dies nur ein kleiner Ausschnitt im Vergleich mit den tatsächlichen Quadratkilometern von Kapstadt mit ihren Vororten.

Lions Head - Signal Hill - Robben Island

This beautiful view you can experience on the top of Table Mountain. This picture shows the Lions Head and Signal Hill. In between you can spot Sea Point and in the background you can see the former prison Robben Island.

Diesen wunderschönen Anblick erlebt man vom Tafelberg aus. Das Bild zeigt den Löwenkopf und den Signalberg. Dazwischen erkennt man Sea Point ein Stadteil von Kapstadt und im Hintergrund die ehemalige Gefägnisinsel Robben Island.
