<p>Diese Hütte steht in dem Küstenort Pomona an der Atlantikseite von Namibia in der Nähe von Luderitz. Diese Geisterstadt wird auch häufig Diamantenstadt genannt und ist ein Überbleibsel aus der Zeit des Diamantenrausches zu Beginn des letzten Jahrhunderts.</p>

<p>Another breathtaking view. Out of a little bit different angle as the most common photography of the Cape of Good Hope. Not from the top of Cape Point but from the hiking trail going down from Cape Point to the shore. I like it almost more than the view from top like on<a title="View over the Cape of Good Hope" href="http://picafric.com/2009/05/view-over-the-cape-of-good-hope/"> that picture of our first post</a>.</p>
<p>Ein weiterer atemberaubender Anblick. Das Kap der Guten Hoffnung diesmal aus einem etwas anderen Winkel aufgenommen als die meisten Fotografien. Nicht vom Cape Point von oben nach unten fotografiert, sondern vom Wanderweg aus, der von Cape Point runter an das Ufer führt. Mir gefällt dieser Blickwinkel fast besser als von oben auf das gesamte Kap runter fotografiert, wie bei <a title="View over the Cape of Good Hope" href="http://picafric.com/2009/05/view-over-the-cape-of-good-hope/">diesem Bild aus unserem ersten Blogeintrag</a>.</p>

<p><strong>It is a breathtaking moment to look at the Fish River Canyon. Even if you have already seen the Grand Canyon it is still a wonderful view. Personally for me it was nice to see a different landscape after the Namibian desert. The Fish River Canyon is in the South of Namibia not so far away from the border to South Africa.</strong></p>
<p>Wenn man auf den Fish River Canyon blickt ist ein ein atemberaubender Moment. Selbst für diejenigen, die bereits auf den Grand Canyon blicken durften, ist es ein wunderschöner Anblich. Für mich persönlich war es besonders toll nach der namibischen Wüste eine etwas andere Landschaft zu sehen. Der Fish River Canyon liegt im Süden Namibias nicht allzu weit von der Grenze nach Südafrika entfernt.</p>

<p><strong>This picture shows the bricks outside of the prison on the Robben Island. The complete island was a prison where Nelson Mandela had to stay for 17 years of his life.<br />
The contrast between the bricks and the beautiful Agarve in front means a lot for me. It shows how the prisoner had to be strong and emphatic about lifes beauty at the same time.</strong></p>
<p><em>Das Bild zeigt die Gefägnismauern von Robben Island. Die komplette Insel war mal ein Gefängis, in dem Nelson Mandela 17 Jahre seines Lebens verbringen musste.<br />
Der Kontrast zwischen den Ziegelsteinen und der Agarve im Vordergrund erwirkt ein schönes Spannungsfeld. Es zeigt wie die Inhaftierten überleben konnten. Stark und hart zu sich selbst und niemals die Schönheit der Welt vergessen.</em></p>
